Synthesia successfully passed the second phase of REACH registration process
Synthesia has successfully completed the second phase of REACH registrations according to european chemical law and registered all of the intended chemical products. This phase which ended on 31st of May 2013 was relevant for manufactured and imported chemicals in the annual tonnage more than 100 tons.
Since the beginning of REACH we have finalized registrations for more than 80 manufactured and imported chemicals. New information gathered during the registration process have been included in safety data sheets and communicated to our customers.
We know and fulfill all obligations arising not only from REACH, but also from other related legislative requirements, such as CLP. That is also demonstrated by the control activity of the Czech national inspection authority in May 2013, which in this respect did not identify any deficiencies.
The third phase of registrations we enter with a lot of experience, which give balance to large number of chemicals intended for registration. In this final phase with deadline in 2018, we expect to register several hundred of substances and intermediates.

Výzkumný ústav organických syntéz a.s. (VUOS)
Synthesia can provide for itself, but also for other interested companies, sufficient capacity for testing of chemicals due to 100% ownership of VUOS – an accredited R & D institution. One department of VUOS, the Centre for Ecology, Toxicology and Analytics (CETA) is approved for ecological, toxicological and analytical testing of chemical substances. This department performs practically all necessary experimental works and co-operates in other (expert, administrative etc.) works connected with the REACH regulation.
