Loose fine white to yellow powder. Linter form.
Properties:
Biocompatible, biodegradable and bioresorbable material with hemostatic and healing properties. It is bacteriostatic and easily absorbed in human organism. OKCEL Ca-L demonstrates a positive influence on wound treatment, on chronic wounds included.
Application:
It is used in human and veterinary medicine as a sterile stop bleeding agent (esp. for treatment of small wounds), most often in form of powders, sprays, or as a component of hemostatic pins. The calcium salt of oxidized cellulose can be used as a component of materials for chronic wound treatment (esp. for diabetes ulcers), or as a component in pharmaceutical preparations or tablet ingredients. It can be also used for various applications in surgery or also for consumer wound care products.
