Nitrocellulose (or nitrate of cellulose) is a derivative of cellulose, produced by esterification of cellulose with a strong nitration mixture (nitric acid + sulfuric acid). Derivatives of natural nitrocellulose find application in many areas.

The starting raw material for the production of our nitrocellulose is cellulose in the form of cotton linters or wood pulp.

Military nitrocellulose is the basic raw material for the production of smokeless powder and other propellants – not only for the needs of defence industry, but also largely for consumption in the production of hunting, sport and other ammunition for civil purposes.

Dynamite nitrocellulose is the classic raw material for the production of gelatinised industrial explosives.
